The Norwegian Directorate of Health invites suppliers to help shape a new AI factsheet
Help shape the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s factsheet on how healthcare organisations can select safe AI solutions for documenting healthcare services.

The Code of Practice for Information Security and Privacy in the Health and Care Sector (the “Norm”) is an industry standard developed and maintained by organisations and stakeholders within the sector itself. Recently, the Norm published the factsheet “Safe use of AI in the documentation of healthcare services (speech-to-draft)”, developed in collaboration with both small and large healthcare organisations. The factsheet provides practical guidance for organisations that are considering or already using AI-based solutions for documentation, with particular emphasis on privacy and information security.
Suppliers invited to contribute
Work on the next factsheet is now underway – and this time, suppliers are invited to take part.
– The upcoming factsheet will focus on how healthcare organisations should approach selecting safe AI solutions for documenting healthcare services, says Max Hjortland, Privacy Advisor in the Department for Sector-oriented Digital Security at the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
– To ensure relevance and practical value, the Norm is seeking input from suppliers who understand this market from the inside.
Suppliers who register their interest will have the opportunity to participate in an input workshop planned for early September, and to comment on draft versions of the factsheet throughout the development process.
The aim is to capture supplier perspectives on how organisations – particularly small and medium-sized ones – can be meaningfully supported in selecting solutions with strong built-in privacy and information security. The work will also explore what characterises such solutions and how buyers can set clear and realistic requirements. Increased awareness on the buyer side is also beneficial for suppliers already delivering high-quality solutions in this space.
