Eight health companies received support with sales, procurement and capital

Health Catalyst kompetanseprogram for helsebedrifter

Developing a strong solution is only the first step. For many health companies, the real challenges begin when they enter the market and engage with public buyers and investors. This is precisely the stage that this spring’s growth programme, delivered by Innovation Norway and HealthCatalyst, has focused on.

Eight Norwegian health companies have received targeted support this spring in the areas of sales, market access, capital and scaling, with the aim of strengthening their ability to engage with public buyers in Norway and international markets.

The programme began with an in-person gathering in March, where participating companies presented sales pitches and received feedback from an expert panel. Ina Marie Brentebråten-Gulbrandsen from Net Nordic Care shared insights into procurement processes in the healthcare sector, and participants also met with investors and ecosystem players such as Longship and Aleap.

This was followed by a series of digital sessions covering topics including value propositions and sales strategy, public procurement and benefits analysis, and sales execution. The programme concluded during the Health Tech Festival on 10–11 June, where participants took part in investor meetings and a professional programme. Throughout the spring, each company received individual mentoring and continued to work on their own business plans between sessions.

During the kick-off session, the companies had the opportunity to engage with and receive feedback from a range of investor organisations.

Eight companies, shared challenges

The participants were Alfred Surgery, Dynamon, Eupnea, Medbric, Muzziball, Nordlys AI, SmartCrowding and Pre Diagnostics – representing fields ranging from surgical training and patient monitoring to AI powered health records and diagnostics.

  • Alfred Surgery develops a digital platform for scenario based surgical training, where procedures are broken down into individual steps linked to evidence based clinical guidelines.
  • Dynamon has a solution for automated workforce scheduling and is now expanding the platform into additional areas of operations and workforce management.
  • Eupnea develops a medical sensor system that continuously monitors respiration, pulse and patient position, with the aim of providing early warning of patient deterioration.
  • Medbric delivers AI based tools for speech to text documentation and clinical knowledge retrieval for healthcare professionals.
  • Muzziball has developed an interactive sensory ball designed to support play, focus and mastery.
  • Nordlys AI is developing an AI powered electronic health record system called Nordlys Journal.
  • SmartCrowding , developed by PHA Healthcare, provides decision support for patient flow and capacity management.
  • Pre Diagnostics is developing biomarker based diagnostics for neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease.

Different products, but many of the same challenges: gaining a strong foothold in the market, understanding procurement processes in healthcare, and preparing their companies for continued growth.

What participants took away from the programme

Participants particularly highlighted the combination of expert insight, peer learning and interaction with other companies at a similar stage of development. Several described the opportunity to connect with fellow entrepreneurs and industry experts as one of the most valuable aspects of the programme.

For Pre Diagnostics AS, the content aligned closely with the company’s needs. In its evaluation, the company noted that the sessions provided valuable input on both strategy and commercial direction, and that the network – including both experts and fellow participants – was a key part of the programme’s value. Alfred Surgery echoed this sentiment, highlighting peer learning, sales and fundraising as particularly beneficial, and noted that the programme had helped the company expand its network and establish a clearer internal focus on sales and capital raising.

For others, the connection to the market was especially valuable. Dynamon pointed to the investor day, the work on procurement and discussions with other participants as particularly useful. Eupnea highlighted the network as a key outcome and can also point to several concrete milestones achieved during the programme: completing the sensor design, launching a pilot project with a nursing home and securing new funding.

The programme consisted of several sessions held throughout the spring of 2026.

A new cohort launches in autumn 2026

The spring cohort was the first of two planned for 2026. The next round will begin this autumn, with the same objective: to better equip health technology companies for engaging with public buyers in Norway and international markets. The programme is run by Innovation Norway and HealthCatalyst and forms part of Innovation Norway’s service portfolio.

Meet the companies joining this autumn’s growth programme:

  • Ably Medical develops sensor technology that collects data on movement, heart rhythm and respiration without requiring physical contact with the patient.
  • Echomedic develops a speech-to-record solution for ambulance services that reduces administrative work for paramedics and gives receiving teams better access to clinical information during transport.
  • Exitus Medical provides a battery-powered medical suction device for airway management, designed for use in military, ambulance and pre-hospital emergency settings.
  • Erland Care delivers medical consumables for stoma care, wound care and skin protection, with the aim of preventing leakage and skin complications.
  • Mub Medical Solutions develops a wound care solution that reduces the need for specialised suturing skills and makes treatment easier in acute and high-pressure environments.
  • Pling is a digital communication platform that connects patients and healthcare professionals in hospitals.
  • Talkit provides an AI-powered solution that generates structured medical notes from patient consultations in real time and offers decision support for healthcare professionals
  • Myworkout AS is a research-based medtech company developing AI-powered digital therapeutics for diagnosis-specific exercise programmes delivered in the home.
