Assistive Technology Partner AS from Sandane has won two sub-contracts in a national tender from NAV and will supply lift chairs and portable lift seats to all of Norway's assistive technology centers. Lift Chairs Without Power – and Portable Aids for the First Time
Assistive Technology Partner offered two solutions in the competition for chairs with upright functions:
- Active Easyriser, a user-friendly lift chair that operates without power or a hand control.
- Active Up Easy GO, a portable lift seat that provides support for standing up—independent of furniture or situation.
This is the first time a portable lift seat has been included in a national contract. The solutions were developed in collaboration with manufacturers in Sweden and the UK and are exclusively offered in Norway by Assistive Technology Partner.
Promotes Independence and Relieves Healthcare Personnel
The portable seats weigh only three kilos and can be carried in a backpack, allowing users to get support for standing up both at home and on the go.
"Many need help in various situations, not just in the living room. Our solutions support the goal of enabling more people to manage independently," says Managing Director and Occupational Therapist Thomas Falch Eide.
This can reduce the burden on caregivers and healthcare personnel.
Entrepreneurial Company with National Reach
Assistive Technology Partner AS was established in Sandane, Nordfjord, and has grown rapidly in recent years. The company supplies assistive devices to all of Norway’s assistive technology centers and operates Velferdsbutikken.no—Norway’s largest online store for small and simple assistive devices.
