Scaling healthtechnology

2024 - 2026

About the project

The health technology scaling initiative is a collaborative project between Trondheim Tech Port (TTP) and Norway Health Tech (NHT), aimed at strengthening value creation through a larger and more robust health industry in Norway.

Mål

The project establishes a HUB–Node model between the health technology cluster Norway Health Tech and Trondheim Tech Port (TTP), and aims to strengthen collaboration between the Trøndelag region and Norway Health Tech’s national network. The project is supported by Innovation Norway.

Through the project, we will:

  • Increase competence related to smart and competent capital for health technology companies and investors.
  • Strengthen national production of medical technology through network building and knowledge transfer.
  • Develop a regulatory roadmap to enable faster scaling of health technology companies within artificial intelligence.
  • Promote public–private collaboration to accelerate innovation and implementation of new technology in the health sector.

Target groups

  • Health technology companies, manufacturing companies, and investors.
  • Hospitals, municipalities, and public healthcare stakeholders.
  • Academia, research environments, and key stakeholders within health innovation in Trøndelag and nationally.

This project is made possible through funding from Innovation Norway.

Aktiviteter

To achieve these objectives, the project will:

  • Build and further develop strategic networks between health technology companies, manufacturing environments, investors, and the public sector.
  • Organise capacity-building activities and meeting arenas for entrepreneurs, scale-ups, and investors.
  • Map and connect relevant manufacturing environments and national catapult centres in Norway.
  • Organise joint workshops and conferences to strengthen regulatory understanding and the commercialisation of AI-based health technology solutions.
  • Mobilise top executives from the private and public sectors to participate in shared innovation arenas.
