Norway Health Tech looks back on a year marked by high activity, increased international engagement, and a clear strategic direction. The Annual Report for 2025 demonstrates how the cluster has strengthened its role as a national driver of public–private collaboration – through meeting arenas, tailored services, and targeted policy advocacy.

– 2025 has been a year where we have truly seen the impact of long-term ecosystem building. We connect stakeholders across the public and private sectors, and we see tangible results – in the form of new projects, international breakthroughs, and increased implementation of technology in healthcare services, says Lena Nymo Helli, CEO of Norway Health Tech.
Throughout the year, the cluster further developed its services within EU advisory, internationalisation, and testing. At the same time, the Healthtech Festival and the Top Management Forum strengthened their position as key meeting places for the sector. Smart Care Lab delivered testing and validation services that provide companies with a safer path from development to market, and an increasing number of members are making use of the cluster’s offerings in regulatory guidance and market access.
During the year, the merger with Norwegian Smart Care Cluster was fully operationalised, resulting in a clearer national structure and improved coordination of expertise and resources.
– By bringing together two complementary clusters, we have established a stronger national platform with greater scale, broader competence, and increased impact, says Chair of the Board Janne Tvedt Morstøl.
In 2025, the new organisation, together with its members and board, developed a strategy defining Norway Health Tech’s priorities going forward. Morstøl emphasises that the cluster’s role as a bridge-builder is becoming increasingly important in a time of growing pressure on healthcare systems:
– There are many strong solutions available. Our task is to ensure they are developed faster, adopted earlier, and scaled more broadly – both nationally and internationally.
Key Figures from 2025
The Annual Report shows high activity and strong member engagement throughout the year, including:
• 308 members in the cluster, including 38 new members in 2025
• 3,390 participants at cluster events
• 106 members received advisory support related to EU funding
• 20 test projects carried out through Smart Care Lab and EIRA
• 38 internationalisation activities, including 13 international trade fairs
• 11 events at Arendalsuka, with 22 politicians actively engaged
The annual member survey also shows high satisfaction, particularly related to access to networks, knowledge sharing, and international connections.
A Clear Direction Forward
The Annual Report illustrates how Norway Health Tech in 2025 combined strategic advocacy with concrete services that create value for members – from testing and validation to capital access and export support.
– We will continue to be a strong voice for the health industry, while delivering practical tools and arenas that enable success. It is about building a more competitive industry and a more sustainable healthcare system – at the same time, says Helli.
With a new strategy in place and a broad national footprint, Norway Health Tech enters 2026 with the ambition to further strengthen its execution capacity – and to contribute to more Norwegian health technology companies succeeding both nationally and internationally.
