Norway Health Tech operates a Market Entry Program targeting the UK. The program is run in collaboration with the UK Department for International Trade,  and is funded by Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling.

The UK is one of the most interesting markets in Europe, with a long and outstanding collaboration and relationship with Norway.  The advantages of geographical proximity, English language and cultural similarity reduce barriers for market entry significantly.

The market for e-health solutions are enormous in the UK and the pandemic has increased the need for these kinds of answers to many of the challenges due to the virus. Medical technologies have similar growth and are the third largest medical device market in Europe. The UK also imports more medical device products than they export(1) making it very receptive to new and innovative international technology. They have also looked at the health challenges in light of Covid-19 and made new assessment based on this. The UK has a very interesting program called “Healthy Ageing”, addressing the core of the health industry in every possible way. All these different aspects are part of the Market Entry Program towards the UK. If interested, get in touch with Trine Radmann.

Several Norwegian health tech companies already have found their way to UK and we are confident that more companies will increase their speed to market through this program.

Norway Health Tech’s Market Entry Program is intended to accelerate the innovative products and services that address the professional healthcare providers incl. hospitals, enhanced health in care homes and welfare technologies.
