Norway Health Tech operates a Market Entry Program targeting the UK in 2020 and 2021. The program is run in collaboration with the UK Department for International Trade. The program is funded by Stiftelsen Teknologiformidling.
The UK is one of the most interesting markets in Europe today, with a long and outstanding collaboration and relationship with Norway. The advantages of geographical proximity, English language and cultural similarity reduce barriers for market entry significantly.
The market for e-health solutions are enormous in the UK and the pandemic has increased the need for these kinds of answers to many of the challenges due to the virus. Medical technologies have similar growth and are the third largest medical device market in Europe. The UK also imports more medical device products than they export(1) making it very receptive to new and innovative international technology. They have also looked at the health challenges in light of Covid-19 and made new assessment based on this. The UK has a very interesting program called “Healthy Ageing”, addressing the core of the health industry in every possible way.
