SMIT Conference 2021-22

30 - 31 May

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel. Oslo

Welcome to the 33rd Annual SMIT Conference in May 2022: Synergies between Healthcare and Technology.

The conference is jointly organized by the International Society for Medical Innovation and Technology (iSMIT) and Oslo University Hospital. The current iSMIT membership base includes representatives from over 35 countries in medical specialties, instrument manufacturing, biomedical engineering and research. The conference has been postponed several times due to covid, but now we are good to go!

The conference will focus on multidisciplinary advancement of minimally invasive therapy in an attempt to reduce patient trauma arising from traditional surgical operations or radiological interventions.

The 33rd SMIT Conference will have a special focus on topics like Hybrid Operating rooms, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation in Healthcare, Minimally Invasive Therapy and Intervention, Value-based Healthcare, Robotic Surgery and Automation, Surgical Navigation and Visualization and Health Technology for Third world countries.

We anticipate that the 33rd SMIT Conference will gain interest whether you are a medical doctor or engineer from different technological disciplines, work at a hospital or in the industry. We aim to bring together doctors and engineers with a special interest in medical technology and minimally invasive therapy. This is the place to be to see cutting edge tech for the operating suites.

At this conference, we also hope to give the industry an excellent showcase of the latest research, knowledge and products within the field of minimally invasive therapy to national and international stakeholders.

We look forward to seeing you in Oslo!
