What is an internship?

During their studies, the students can complete an internship and receive 5 ECTS (see the course HMAN4230 offered by HELED).

The purpose of an internship is to give the student an insight into the daily work in the company. At the same time, the company can benefit from the student’s knowledge, and get help to investigate or analyze a relevant topic.

During the internship, the company shall provide the student with relevant tasks that are possible to solve with the student’s level of knowledge. Previously, students have worked with economic evaluations, early health technology assessments (HTA), budget impact analysis, and issues related to costings and payment systems. They have also performed literature reviews.

Master’s thesis:

All students write a master’s thesis (30 ECTS). The content and requirements for the thesis depend on the topic and the student’s chosen specialization. The students develop a research proposal that will be accepted by a committee, and the student will be appointed a supervisor from the university (Oslo, Rotterdam, Innsbruck or Bologna).

We invite companies and students to register!
