For the third year in a row The Healthtech Festival is taking place at Oslo Science Park!

Take a leap into tomorrow’s health care – listen to top international speakers from Germany, UK and Denmark. Meet leading European and Norwegian health tech investors, and learn how technology is shaping hospitals and municipalities in Norway and abroad.

Festival tickets

Are you planning to attend the Healthtech Festival 2024? There is a limited number of tickets available, so make sure to get yours soon!

With the festival ticket, you get access to our sessions at the Forum, food and refreshments throughout the day, and access to our summer party at the Oslo Science Park roof garden «Gaustadtoppen» including 1 free drink voucher. For student tickets you must bring a valid student ID.

Oslo Science Park is a meeting place and a community for 300+ companies from business, incubators, clusters, research, and academia. Its purpose is to is to facilitate value creation from growth companies and the commercialization of research. Oslo Science Park is venue for The Healthtech Festival for the third year in a row!

Information about the activities

Festival areas

The festival program is taking place at the Forum auditorium of Oslo Science Park, and will also be live-streamed at the Health2B area.

The festival exhibition, extending throughout level 0 of the Science Park building, will be open from 9am until the end of the program at the Forum.

TV screens available at the exhibition area will also help you navigate the festival areas, locate the different exhibitors, and stay up to date with the festival program.

After the end of the Forum program the festival attendees are invited to join our summer party at the Oslo Science Park roof garden «Gaustadtoppen», for more drinks and networking!

Festival program

This year’s tagline is Taking care of tomorrow.

The theme reflects the prominent role that health technology will play in the years to come. By using health technology in taking care of tomorrow, we contribute to the efforts our society and health services need to make to prepare for the challenges we see ahead.

10:00 - 11:00 Session 1: Taking care of tomorrow

What is the future of healthcare? In this session, we will show how technology is transforming the health care services with examples from Oslo Municipality and St. Olaf Hospital in Trondheim. We will also get an inspiring talk from Erik Fosse, a professor of medicine and the co-founder of Norwegian Aid Committee, best known for his decade-long and tireless work for the people of Gaza.

Joachim Thorkildsen is leading the virtual hospital unit at Vestre Viken, and will share his thoughts on what the future hospital will bring.

Networking break from 11:00- 11:45.

11:45 - 12:20 Session 2: Perspectives from abroad

In this session, we will bring fresh perspectives on the latest health technology from Germany and other markets. One of the speakers is  the award winning computer scientist and medical doctor professor Dr. Julian Varghese. Since 2021 he has been heading the institute of Medical Informatics at the University of Münster. His research focuses on methods of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Medical Data Integration and Interoperability as well as Biomedical Informatics.

13:40 - 14:10 Session 3: Why invest in Norwegian health tech?

The third session in Forum will present investment expert Virginia Vegas, who will share insights on the Nordic health tech investor landscape.

Lucas Mittelmeier from German investor Heal Capital will share why they are looking to the Nordics for the next big thing in health tech. Heal Capital creates an ecosystem of partners to provide best-in-class access to the healthcare market – backed by leading private health insurers.

14:55 - 16:00 Session 4: The Norwegian Health Tech Scene

The last session will showcase the thriving Norwegian health tech scene with pitches from Bliksund, Ledidi and Dossier Solutions.

The session concludes with former Innovation Norway CEO and soon to be CEO of investment company DSD, Anita Krohn Traaseth sharing her perspectives on Norwegian health tech in a talk with Norway Health Tech CEO, Lena Nymo Helli.
