Sveinung Tornås is the CEO of Norway Health Tech. He is a clinical psychologist specialist with a PhD and brings more than 30 years of experience from specialist healthcare, including eight years as a clinical director.
Before joining Norway Health Tech, Tornås served as Director of Innovation in the Division for Digital Transformation at the Norwegian Directorate of Health. In this role, he played a key part in developing a shared national plan for the safe and responsible implementation of artificial intelligence in the health and care services – work that has helped shape important frameworks for the entire sector.
At Norway Health Tech, Sveinung focuses particularly on framework conditions and opportunities for developing the health industry, artificial intelligence and the transformation of health and care services, as well as fostering a culture of innovation and change. He is committed to building bridges between clinical practice, industry and public administration – and to creating the structures needed to turn strong ideas into real improvements in healthcare services.
