What is Mirucam?

Eye contact is important in a dialogue or meeting where you want to build trust, show interest and engagement, and create a good relationship. When meetings become digital, a webcam removes eye contact because it is placed at the top of the screen, and that is not where you look in a meeting. The lack of natural eye contact makes digital consultations/meetings/dialogues less personal, and can weaken the trust between patient/service recipient and healthcare personnel. This means an increased risk of misunderstandings and potentially poorer treatment outcomes. We have developed Mirucam, a plug-and-play webcam that is placed at eye level on the screen. The patient/service recipient will then experience that the healthcare personnel make eye contact. Mirucam recreates eye contact in digital meetings! This is why Mirucam is used by doctors, psychologists, therapists, and in digital home nursing/home follow-up.
