Universal design and the EAA – what does it mean for digital health technology?
About the event
Norway Health Tech and Norwegian Computing Center invite you to a professional seminar on the EU’s European Accessibility Act – a regulatory framework that is increasingly influencing digital development, innovation, and market access, including within health technology and welfare technology.
Description
The European Accessibility Act entered into force in the EU in June 2025. Although the directive has not yet been implemented into Norwegian legislation, it will also have implications for Norwegian businesses. Companies offering products or services in the EU market must already comply with parts of the regulation. At the same time, the EAA represents more than a set of requirements: for many stakeholders, it is a strategic opportunity to strengthen quality, safety, innovation, and competitiveness.
The seminar will cover:
- which accessibility requirements already apply in Norway,
- which new requirements are introduced with the EAA,
- how organizations can use accessibility as a competitive advantage,
- and experiences with supervision and regulatory follow-up.
Who is the seminar for?
- Suppliers within health technology, welfare technology, and digital health services
- Project managers and procurement professionals in municipalities, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions
- Product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and compliance professionals
- Other leaders and decision-makers who want to understand the regulatory landscape and the opportunities it creates
