Femtech – half the population, double the potential

Møteplass i Bergen setter søkelys på femtech
Cornerteateret, Kong Christian Frederiks Plass 4

About the event

There is still a significant gap between real women’s health needs and what the market currently offers. But this gap also represents an opportunity. When half the population is finally taken seriously, one of the most exciting and scalable investment and innovation opportunities in health technology opens up.

Description

This year, we’re choosing April to celebrate women! 🎉
Date: Thursday 16 April, 08:00–10:30
Location: Cornerteateret, Bergen

The femtech field is growing rapidly because women – with strong purchasing power and little patience for waiting – are increasingly seeking their own digital tools, products, and services that actually work for them. Investors, entrepreneurs, and healthcare stakeholders are finally taking notice: the global femtech market is expected to surpass NOK 60 billion by 2027, with strong continued growth in the years ahead.

In other words, when half the population is finally taken seriously, one of the most exciting and scalable opportunity spaces in health technology opens up today – for those who want to be early movers.

And when we talk about women’s health, the conversation often focuses on fertility, reproduction, menstruation, menopause, and work–life balance or inclusion. These topics are real and important, but they represent only one part of a much larger picture. Women’s health is society’s infrastructure. It is the very foundation of the health of families and populations, our economic resilience, and our future development. When it comes to the structural decisions that determine priorities and funding, one truth becomes clear: the leadership gap is the women’s health gap.

These topics will be highlighted and discussed—and we guarantee you’ll leave inspired. Welcome!

The event is a special edition of #Hjerterom, organised in collaboration with Eitri, Bouvet ASA, Norway Health Tech, Bergen Chamber of Commerce, VIS – Vestlandets Innovasjonsselskap and Connect Vest.
