Any business will benefit from protecting their Intellectual Property capital! The strategy to protect it and exploit it floats from registering a patent or trademark to keeping a trade secret or a combination of these so as to maximize the value and profitability of a business. This is particularly relevant in the Healthcare industry and for small and medium sized companies.

Startups, typically cash strapped, have to do a smart evaluation of their options as filing and keeping a patent weighs on the cash flow. The first question is whether their invention is patentable at all; does it meet the legal requirements of non-obviousness, novelty, and usefulness to be granted a patent? What are the other options to protect your invention?

We invited Andreas Dietzel and Haakon Thue Lie from LEOGRIFF to come share their thoughts and insights and elevate your understanding on this important matter.
