Innovation and good practices in the health sector – opportunities!

Norway Grants Bulgaria – Business opportunities within the Welfare Technology-component of the launched Business program. Participation at the launch and the annual national conference “Innovation and good practices in the health sector” Sofia 6. November 2018.

Please join us for the 5th consecutive conference in Sofia, Bulgaria. The conference represents the most important meeting place for private and public businesses to discuss the way ahead and opportunities for the private sector. Innovation Norway provides a lump sum of €1000 for participating Norwegian entities enabling them to be familiarized with the new business opportunities in Bulgaria.   Read more about the conference HERE.

Kathrine Myhre (Norway Health Tech) and Arild Kristensen (Norwegian Smart Care Cluster) will introduce the work going on in Norway to reform the sector and the work/competence within their respective clusters.

The conference will also launch the Call for the component of  the Welfare Technology component in Norway Grants 2014-2021, Business Development, Innovation and SMEs Programme Bulgaria, www.innovasjonnorge.no/en/start-page/eea-norway-grants/

The component invites Bulgarian private entities to apply for funding for project within the private sector for funding for projects, hopefully together with Norwegian entities to develop new products, services and solutions within the Welfare Focus area. EUR 5 million is allocated for this purpose. To promote the bilateral part of the programme a travel grant of EUR 1 000 will be provided. Norwegian participants will also be offered a tailor-made workshop on in the morning of 7. November to meet potential Bulgarian partners.

Welfare technology has been assessed by the Bulgarian government as an area of high social priority and innovation potential. The purpose focusing on the sector is to give people an opportunity to better cope with health issues and improve the quality of their their life through innovation and application of new technologies/products. The support will allow to develop technologies to better meet future challenges, including demographic trends towards an aging society. It will support product and service-development with commercial potential.
