SonoClear – Improving diagnostic accuracy in ultrasound guided interventions.

SonoClear is a Norwegian based medical device manufacturer that has developed a game changing ultrasound couplant, for use during intra-operative ultrasound guided surgical interventions. Intra-operative ultrasound is the new frontier in intra-operative imaging, highlighted by GEs $1.45 billion acquisition of BK Medical.

SonoClear has completed all technological development and is in the process of signing a manufacturing agreement with a leading global manufacturer. We are expecting US market clearance via a 510(k) application in Q2, 2025.

SonoClears beachhead product is targeting patients with brain cancer. Our ultrasound couplant has clearly demonstrated in 2 clinical trials its safety and performance in a head to head comparison to todays standard of care. This gives neurosurgeons the guidance needed to safely remove the maximum amount of tumour, whilst avoiding false positives that intra-operative ultrasound guided surgery is challenged by.  This results in increased confidence in the intra-operative imaging for neurosurgeons to do their job more effectively, without change to current workflow.
