SINTEF is the largest independent research organisation in Scandinavia. Our mission is to develop knowledge and solutions that help meet societal challenges and create value and innovation. We create novel and innovative solutions for the health and care services, focusing on the needs of users, next of kin and employees. Through research and innovation projects we develop knowledge and solutions in close collaboration with municipalities, health institutions and companies and thus make significant contributions to service and product development.

New digital solutions provide improved preventive care, treatment and follow-up of patients and interaction between actors. Smart sensor systems, artificial intelligence and data algorithms provide new tools and improved decision support at different levels. SINTEF has developed methods and tools for service design and innovation in the health sector and offers economic and social analysis and evaluation of impact and resulting benefits.

SINTEF is an attractive R&D partner with an extensive national and international network, including experience from many EU-projects. Our knowledge is sought to solve important health and welfare challenges in Norway, Europe and in developing countries.
