Sensio started in 2009 with a focus on making smart home technology public property. Since then, we have installed several thousand smart homes around Norway, and have specialized in delivering solutions in the welfare and care sector. Today, Sensio is a leading provider of welfare technology and helps over 200 large and small Norwegian municipalities with good and efficient operation of their care services, and is now investing in the Nordic countries with several welfare technology projects in Denmark, Sweden and Iceland.
Sensio has a Norwegian development environment, and together with Norwegian municipalities we have developed a comprehensive platform of solutions that cover the municipalities’ needs for welfare technology – today and tomorrow. We involve all our customers to actively contribute to the development via a separate user forum.
We believe that all municipalities benefit from a holistic approach to welfare technology in the municipality – across institutions and housing.
Sensio solutions are made by and for Norwegian municipalities and are in line with national recommendations and frameworks. We will continue to listen to the needs of Norwegian municipalities and give them influence when we further develop our solutions in the future. We believe that a user-driven development, hand in hand with service innovation, provides the best solutions. All our solutions have been developed in close collaboration with actual users, and we strive to deliver solutions that cover identified needs that contribute to increased quality of life for users, and more efficient services for service providers.
Sensio delivers a common platform for welfare technology, Sensio Unity, which ensures comprehensive solutions and appropriate information flow across municipal services and systems at institutions and in housing. This contributes to equipment, concepts and expertise being reused and seen in context.
IKOS digital boards facilitate patient safety and good health care processes and Safemate security-creating care technology makes it possible for people to master their lives on their own for as long as possible. We know that our solutions for the homemarket save the municipalities large sums of money, at the same time as residents get the freedom they have in their own homes, and relatives get freedom from worries. We have measurements that our solutions for health institutions result in lower sickness absence among employees, and less use of medication by the residents. We call it SmartOmsorg.
At the same time, we recognize that technology is only part of the total solution. Our experience is that even though one is completely dependent on using technology to meet the major challenges the municipalities face in the health and care field, the technology is only a small part of the big picture. The most comprehensive proportion of the solutions is about organization, competence building and restructuring. Service and role design are essential factors in order to realize the potential that technology creates. Together with our partners, we are happy to assist with both anchoring, competence building and project management within implementation, service design and role design.
