Dimitrii’s initial training is in basic Chemistry and Advanced Chemical Enzymology from Moscow States University (Russia). He has spent a year at Harvard University (USA) as an exchange student studying Biochemistry; this led him into joining a Microbiology and Biochemistry program at the University of Victoria (Canada), leading to a PhD degree in Biochemistry. He has worked in the field of Molecular and Cell Biology, first as a postdoctoral and then a Senior Researcher. All his academic work has been funded by personal grants and resulted in 19 publications. Furthermore, he has earned his MBA degree from the Norwegian School of Management (BI). During his career in the private sector, he has worked in 3 SMEs as Director of Business Development as well as Marketing, Sales and Technical Director. The last 12 years he has worked for various consulting companies, mostly with grant proposal preparation but also sales and project management.
