Companies meet health economic students

Present your company/case to health economic students looking for internships!

Norway Health Tech and the University of Oslo would like to invite you to an event where the companies present their case/product to the students of the HELED and HEPMA programs – health economics. This is a great opportunity to find a student that can help you with your challenge in this field.

Background information about the program:

Department of Health Management and Health Economics (HELED), Faculty of Medicine, offer two international master programs, HEPMA and EU-HEM. The overall objective of these two programs are to «develop competences and expertise in the field of health economics and policy, health care management, health law and regulation”.  We believe that the competence the students derive during the two years, are higly relevant for both public and private sector. We see several opportunities for collaboration with Norway HealthTech

What are the students looking for?

  • Intership: Daily work for students in an institution consisting of 21 days, normally 3 days a week for 7 weeks, receives no pay. Supervised practical training: Deliberation, Executive work, Planning, Implementation. Previously, students have worked with topics related to payment systems, literature reviews, early HTA, budget impact analysis and costing. Intership is a university course with 5 ECTS.
  • Master thesis: All students write a master thesis (30 ECTS one term). The content and requirements for the master thesis depend on the topics and specialization for the students. All master thesis will be allocated supervisor from the university (Oslo, Rottedam, Innsbruck or Bologna). The students develop a proposal that will be accepted by a committee.
  •  Research: Collaboration with researcher to apply for funding in EU or nationally.

The program:

15:30 Welcome and introduction to UiO HELED and HEPMA program (by Eline Aas and Oddvar Martin Kaarbøe) and Norway Health Tech (by Anita Moe Larsen)

15:45 Companies presents (3-7 minutes per company, all depending on how many is interested)

17:00 “Speed dating” – the students and companies meet

18:00 Wrap up

The companies will receive a list where they should encourage students to sign up for further follow-up.

Pizza and soft drinks will be served.
